History of DCCBI

Journey Of DCCBI

We are Divyang Cricket Control Board of India, working Since 2007 (previously known as Disabled Sporting Society). We aim to govern and promote the game of Cricket among the Physically Challenged youth in India. We are registered Pan India with NITI AAYOG under the guidance of Justice Lodha Committee report of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

Under the aegis of Divyang Cricket Control Board of India, Indian Divyang Cricket team has played 100 international cricket matches in India and different parts of the world so far and it’s a matter of pride that Team India has won 87 international matches.

India is a home of 26.8 million people with disabilities according to the 2011 census of India, while other sources have offered higher estimates. The game of Cricket has special place in the hearts of Indians. What happened if the person with disabilities wills to wear the jersey of team India and hoist the tricolour flag after winning.

Physically Challenged

When we talk about Physically Challenged and sports, Paralympics come to our mind. But unfortunately Cricket is not a game of Paralympics. BCCI is for normal cricket only. Where these players with special abilities will go?

To answer this, DIVYANG CRICKET CONTROL BOARD OF INDIA is made. Not only India DCCBI has inspired to other countries, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan, Bangladesh & Cambodia and very soon we will see Specially abled Cricket teams in UAE, USA, Southi Arab, Australia, Zimbabwe, Africa etc. DCCBI has registered more than 4000 Physically Challenged Cricketers from Pan India.
